Giuseppe Marchesini has been working in the hospitality industry for the previous twenty-five years. After five years of hospitality school in his home of Basilicata in Southern Italy, he then studied and graduated his Master Class at the Associazione Italiana Sommelier in Rome. To further satisfy his obsession to learn more about wine and fine service, he then worked under Chef Heinz Beck of 3 Michelin Starred restaurant, La Pergola. After having spent eight years training in Rome, Giuseppe then moved to California for two years to work for Via Veneto as well as 1 Michelin Starred restaurant, Valentino, as sommelier. After leaving California Giuseppe then moved to Toronto to open Buca Osteria & Enoteca as a manager and sommelier. He opened all three Buca locations and was the wine director for the Buca group.
